Dodgers are close to signing…….. Wolf not Manny!

The Dodgers are close to signing Randy Wolf. The Dodgers really need to add a
RandyWolf.jpgstarter or two. They have lost Brad Penny and Derek Lowe. Even though this isn’t a Manny signing. I’m sure they are really happy to at least have one starter spot almost filled. Maybe Wolf will say hold up. I’m not signing here unless Manny signs. =) That’s what us Giants fans would love. Once this deal is confirmed. I will say it’s a good move for the Dodgers. He’s not an ace but a good pitcher to have on your team.

Just had to update the blog to say it’s now a done deal! Wolf is a Dodger again.

No I don’t think Wolf would prevent the Dodges from getting Ramirez. Right now it’s Ramirez preventing himself from signing with the Dodgers. He wants more years. The Dodgers made it known they were going to go after at least one pitcher cause they lost a few.

The lack of good starting pitching in baseball is getting pretty crazy at this point. The Rockies Jeff Francis might undergo surgery and that make the Rockies starting lineup even shakier. Hopefully the non top tier starters can make that difference of the NL West could be an interesting place this season.

Wolf will do some great things in L A. He is the type of pitcher that can replace Derek Lowe without skipping a beat. He might not be as fast or as tall, but he is a gamer, and Joe Torre loves the guys who will leave it all out on the field for his team.

And he is also a great clubhouse guy……….which is never a bad thing on any team.
