Who’s Your 3 For Your Team?

I’m curious to see what other bloggers out there think about their teams. I want to know who you think your #1 player is, most excited to see play this year and one prospect that we should all watch out for in the near future….

Giants #1 Player…

I think the Giants #1 player is Tim Lincecum. I wish I could say it was an everyday player but it’s not. Which means our #1 player only plays every 5 days, but he’s one hell-of-a-player! Everyone knows he won the Cy Young last year. I think he’s only going to get better. I mean it’s hard to match the stats he had last season, but that was just his first full season. He’s going to learn more about the hitters and his pitches. He’s got Randy Johnson to absorb a lot of knowledge off of.

Most Excited To See…

The player I’m most excited to see play this year is Pablo Sandoval. This guy can flat out rake! He played in 41 games and the end of last season. He hit .345 during that time. He has been just as hot in spring training. He has hit 3 home runs and has a .460 batting avg. He is going to get on base a lot and drive in some runs for the Giants. He will be a spark plug to help jumpstart this offense.

Prospect To Watch Out For…

The up and coming prospect to look out for is Buster Posey. He is going to be the Giants catcher of the future. He also had a great spring and it looked like he was trying to battle it out with Molina for the starting role, but the Giants would like to see him catch a year in the minors. He will be brought up probably in September. I’m pretty sure he will be the Giants starting catcher next season.

#1 – Jon Lester – I think he will continue to build on what he had last year and will just get better and better.

Most Excited to see play – Rocco Baldelli – I think after what he went through last year, just seeing him out on the field doing well will be great to see.

Lars Anderson is probably our hottest prospect right now and I suspect we will see him in Fenway before the season is over.

Our best overall player is Chase Utley. No contest. I’m most excited to see how Cole Hamels pitches this year after all the attention he’s gotten this offseason (publicity and injury attention). Hopefully he can handle the constant attention well. Our prospect to look out for is pitching prospect Carlos Carrasco or infielder Jason Donald.

Florida Marlins #1 player would have to be Hanley Ramirez. He’s consistent. He’s got power. He can run. Future League MVP for sure!…I’m most excited to see Emilio Bonifacio. We got him from Washington for Olsen and Willingham. He’s originally a second baseman, but he’s been playing a lot of third base this spring. He’s a switch-hitter and has been really consistent this spring, so I can’t wait to see him this season. I think he’ll do really well and help us out a lot…The prospect to watch out for…Cameron Maybin! He was acquired from Detroit in the Cabrera-Willis trade. He’s definitely one to watch this season!

Best – Chase Utley! Most excited to see play? Hmmmm…like, besides Chase? Ha! Ok, I’ll go with Brett Myers; you never know what he’s gonna do! And #3, prospect – Lou Marson, catcher. Can’t wait to see him play in the bigs!
And I agree on Lincecum – he is awesome!

White Sox #1 player? That’s really hard because we have A LOT of good players. I guess I’d go with either Carlos Quentin or Alexei Ramirez, leaning more towards TCQ. Most excited to see play: other than AJ, the young guys like Josh Fields, Chris Getz, Gavin Floyd, and John Danks. Prospect to watch for: Gordon Beckham by far. He’s AMAZING. He’ll be a September callup, I think, and he’ll be amazing.

Our # 1 guy: A-Rod even with the steroids he took, he is flat out amazing.
Look for this year-Teixeira. it will be cool to see how he adjusts to life in the Bronx under intense pressur. i think he will bw ok
Prospect-Austin Jackso “Ajax” is our CF of the future. He can hit, field and run. He should be up by August or September.

    1. Mark Teixeira–Will probably be the best hitter on our team this year, and has a great glove.
    2. A.J. Burnett–I would love to see him pitch, and strike out batters like crazy. I saw him once when he was with the Blue Jays, but he was not as good a few years ago.
    3. Mark Melancon–I think that once he is called up, he will be amazing.
