Groundhogs Day For the Giants!

Sanchez pitched good and the Giants couldn’t score. Same story… just a different day. Rowand was batting leadoff and went 3-4. The only problem was no one else hit after him. Their is a rumor going around that the Giants are interested in trying to make a trade for Nick Johnson, but we know how rumors go. That would be a move that would help the Giants offense. Just not sure what the Giants would be willing to deal for Johnson. If Johnson is on a contract year. I wouldn’t even make the move. Doesn’t even make sense to me to give up some players for a player that will probably not re-sign with the Giants after the season. If we were a team that was going to make the playoffs for sure and we just need to add another bat to help us get to the World Series and possibly have a chance to win it all. Then I might be willing to take that gamble. The Giants are just not in that situation at this time, so I hope Sabean thinks out whatever moves he makes and doesn’t just make moves to make them.
Lincecum is on the mound tonight. I’m hoping he can shut the Padres out and we can at least get 1 run again. lol Go Giants! =)

I’m skeptical about trading for Nick Johnson, just because of his history of inconsistancy. I think Ishikawa heating up is almost as likely as Nick Johnson severely cooling off. If we trade for a 1B I’d rather have it be for a little bit of a sure thing. But hey, after another 2-0 loss ill probably change my tone haha

Nick Johnson would be a terrible idea. I know he’s off to a nice start, but it’s only a matter of time before he trips over the baseline and tears a hammy. It’s been the same old story for this kid and coming to the Giants would do nothing for us. The platoon of Ishikawa and Aurilia will probably prove to be just as, if not more than, productive than Johnson.

    You know where I stand….

Lewis, Sanchez and any pitching prospect not named Bumbarner or Alderson to the A’s for Matt Holliday.

It would solve so much for us.

    I meant Bumgarner…..

If we do have anyone in the system named Bumbarner then maybe we can pass him off in the deal.

I hate to say this, but that is the scenario all around baseball this year. Peaks and valley are becoming more common place than highpoints for some reason.
Maybe baseball is experiencing and odd parity that it doesn’t see too often.
Teams are better matched to play within their divisions, and outside teams are coming in and slapping team around all throughout baseball.
Just stand firm and the world will stop shaking soon.
The best baseball is yet to be played this year. We are only a quarter of the way, and already we have a years worth of stories to tell others.
