The Newest Giants player is Jose Guillen. All it took was a high-five, some cash and a PTBNL (Player To Be Named Later).
I’m getting mixed reactions from all Giants fans about the Jose Guillen trade. I think every GM’s goal is to make your whole roster stronger, so adding Guillen would be a good thing right?

Hey Giants fans, or just baseball fans in general. The trading deadline is rapidly approaching. We are just a few days away, and names are getting thrown out from left-field.
The San Francisco Giants have been linked to Corey Hart, Prince Fielder, Adam Dunn, Jose Bautista, Jose Guillen, Scott Podsednik, and the list goes on…
Giants GM Brian Sabean has said he’s not looking for a rental player, but he may have to change his mind if he really wants a bat. That is unless he’s willing to part with Madison Bumgarner.

Hey Giants fans or fans of at team in the NL West. I recently did a break down of the Giants payroll. The payroll is up 19% from the 2009 payroll. The team hasn’t changed much but there was two additions to the offense (Mark DeRosa & Aubrey Huff) and the rest is raises for all these young guns! See how much Tim Lincecum, Brian Wilson and Matt Cain are making this year.
If you would like to see the article check it out SF Giants Rumors – Show Me The Money!. You can also see the break down of the NL West Payrolls and each teams highest paid player.

Hey Giants fans or just any baseball fans that love the history of baseball. I recently have been asked to review a book called Giants Past & Present. It’s a must have book for Giants fans and really any baseball fan that loves the game! It has history from the New York Giants to the San Francisco Giants. Breaks down, owners, players and general managers. It has a ton of cool pictures of your favorite Giants.
The author of the book Dan Fost was kind enough to do a Q&A with me. The Q&A is posted at SF Giants Rumors. The title is “Q&A With Dan Fost – Author Of Giants Past & Present, Win A Copy!“. That’s right, win a copy is part of the title. All you have to do is go to that post of the Q&A, and leave a comment. Tell us who was your favorite Giant player of the past and why? Then you can have a chance to win an autographed book. It’s as simple as that. If you don’t win. You can still purchase the book at www.giantspastandpresent.com.

Opening Day has come and gone. The Giants are currently on pace to win 162 games. That will more than likely not happen, because we do have Barry Zito pitching about 29 of those games. Which means the Giants will probably go 133-29 this year. I’m only kidding….
The Giants looked great last night in the opener. Tim Lincecum was awesome and shined like a bright star in space. I’m just messing around with the star comment, but he did look really good. He went 7 strong innings and only allowed 4 hits. He didn’t give up any runs or walks. His velocity was around 92-95mph, so that quiet down some of the Lincecum haters that said he wasn’t going to be the same pitcher.
I have more insights on the SF Giants Rumors – 2010 Season Opener Recap. Check it out and leave your comments there. You can see how Mark DeRosa and Aubrey Huff did in their Giants debut.
